Police have carried out speed checks on Brooks Road in Street after residents raised concerns about speeding.
Avon and Somerset Police confirmed the checks and said they will continue when possible.
A new Community Speedwatch site has also been authorised on Brooks Road, allowing volunteers to work alongside local officers to help tackle speeding.
Following renewed concerns about vehicles using the road, the neighbourhood policing team is working with the force’s Speed Enforcement Unit and local Speedwatch volunteers.
Drivers are being asked to obey the speed limit and consider the safety of residents and other road users.
Police are also inviting people to join Street’s Community Speedwatch team, with free training and equipment provided.
Anyone interested can contact police on 101 or complete the Community Speedwatch form on the Avon and Somerset Police website. Avon and Somerset Police
